Liz has been dancing since the age of two and a half. She started studying Ballet, Tap and Musical Theatre with Miss Jackie Bebbington in Abingdon and Oxford and was in many show productions and displays before joining the family business.
Her parents took over Abingdon Dance Studios in 1965 and she started to learn Ballroom and Latin. She went on to enjoy success in exams and competing before taking her student teaching qualifications in 1973 and then full professional qualifications the following year.
Liz became a partner in the business with her mother Pauline and continued to study dance and gained more advanced qualifications in Ballroom, Latin, Freestyle, Classical sequence, Dance Exercise, Line Dance, Belly Dance, Rock ’n’ Roll, Musical Theatre, Street Dance, Argentine Tango and Club Latin.
She joined the International Dance Teachers Association Board of Examiners in 2001 and has lectured, judged and examined both in the UK and abroad. She also served on the South East Area Committee of the IDTA for a number of years.
